Yes!  Being a virgin is perfectly okay.  Sex is addictive, and addictive behaviors are generally bad.  If you are a virgin, chances are, you don’t have a sexually transmitted disease.  You haven’t had an unwanted pregnancy.  You’ve never had an abortion.  You have never been raped.  These are all good things, very okay!  I would rather be a virgin than have herpes any day!

You may be ridiculed by your sexually active friends for being a virgin, but a little ridicule is better than a lot of shame for sleeping with the wrong person or contracting a disease from a one night stand or ex-boyfriend.  If you are concerned with being inexperienced when you become sexually active, don’t worry, you have the rest of your life to gain experience.  It is a privilege to still carry your V-card, so carry it proudly!  It is okay to be a virgin!
